Using a Protractor

The grade 4's have been learning how to use a protractor to measure angles. I took them in small groups and we went through the proper steps to line up the angle with the protractor and determine the angle. It's always a good idea to first estimate whether the angle is acute (less than 90), obtuse (more than 90) or right angle (90 degrees). I am including a link to a few videos that the students can view to help them when they practice.
